The Refuge HQ and Visitor Center are closed due to the federal government shutdown. All scheduled events are postponed until the government re-opens. Refuge roads, trails, lands and outdoor restrooms remain open to the public at this time. The Goode Day Use Area is closed Sunday, 10/25. Deer hunting at the refuge will take place despite the shutdown on the following days: Nov 07-09, Nov 21–23, Dec 05–07 Meyers Branch, Harris Creek and Big Mineral Units will be affected by the deer hunts. The Butterfly Garden is beautiful and open sunrise to sunset daily, and the Auto Tour is a great outing! Thank you for making our auction a grand success!
